It has been 2.5 years and after going through dates, up and down relationships, and lots of loneliness and crying- So I rescued a two year old toy poodle. I left his shitty owners in the dust and started spoiling my new little guy.
What is great for one's mental health is exercise. Since my I've been alone, I've stopped with the yoga and walking and proceeded to exercise with meaningless sex, walking around my house thinking "what am I looking for?, and pounding my bed with my fists to the highest and loudest frequency my lungs could muster. Ummmm... yeah. I would say this hasn't been the best approach. That's when Charlie comes in... I walk him. We run around the yard and the fields by the schools. He gets me out of the house- even though it is fucking freezing- and gets me out my head as well.
So now that I have a human BFF and a canine BFF, I have to treat them both well when I cook. I've never opened a can for my friend, my kids, and didn't plan on doing it for Charlie. Luckily, I found an easy homemade food recipe that he LOVES. I use the (organic) Chicken and Rice and Eggs with their shells.
